All fees are listed in Egyptian pounds and exclude 14% VAT. An active membership is required to submit items.

Fees per item

Fees vary by item type, service level, and declared value. All fees are listed in Egyptian pounds and exclude 14% VAT.

What We Grade

Modern Coins (1951–Date)

Modern and contemporary coins, including commemorative issues, Proof issues, circulated coins, and uncirculated coins.

Early Modern (1801–1950)

Coins from the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, including Egyptian, regional, and international issues.

Medieval Coins (501–1800)

Islamic, Byzantine, and medieval coins, including dinars, dirhams, fulus, and similar historical issues.

Medals & Tokens (1700–Date)

Medals, tokens, commemorative issues, decorations, and non-circulating pieces with historical or artistic value.

High Value Items

For high-value items or auction-focused pieces requiring higher priority and closer review depending on the case.

Unlimited Value Items

For items with unlimited declared value or exceptional pieces requiring custom pricing and special review before acceptance.

A minimum service fee of EGP 275 applies to submissions of up to 5 items if the total grading fees are below this amount.

Customization

Customize your submission

You can add service options or add-on services depending on the item type and purpose of submission. Some options apply to the core grading service, while others may be added when needed, such as special labels, XRF analysis, or detailed imaging.

The available grading service types, depending on item status and submission purpose.

  • Grading

    Base service level fee

    First-time grading and documentation according to the selected service level.

  • Re-Grade

    25% discount from base service level fee

    Re-grading an item previously certified by IGA for grade review. The item must remain inside its original sealed and intact slab. A 25% discount applies to the base grading fee.

  • Cross-Over

    Base service level fee

    Reviewing an item certified by another company to determine whether it can be certified by IGA. The outcome follows IGA examination and grading procedures.

  • Re-Slab

    50% discount from base service level fee

    Re-encapsulating an IGA-certified item in a new slab when needed, while preserving certificate data according to company procedures. A 50% discount applies to the base grading fee.

  • Restoration

    services.serviceOptions.rules.flatPlusValuePct

    A specialized conservation service for selected surface issues or residues where treatment is possible. Flat 549 EGP per item plus 1% of the declared fair-market value.

Add-On Services

Optional add-ons requested with the core grading service. They are not offered separately.

  • Special Labels

    275 EGP

    Special label designs for selected issues or occasions, subject to availability and service conditions.

  • First Releases Labels

    275 EGP

    Adds the First Releases designation for eligible items submitted within the approved period from the date of issue.

  • Pedigree Labels

    165 EGP

    Adds a documented Pedigree or ownership source to the label when sufficient acceptable evidence is provided.

  • Varieties

    550 EGP

    Additional review to identify varieties or die differences when there is a clear basis for review.

  • Mint Errors

    550 EGP

    Additional review for mint errors and documentation of the appropriate description or classification when confirmed.

  • Grande Slab

    330 EGP

    For items over 40mm and up to 65mm in diameter, encapsulated in a Grande Slab designed for larger pieces.

  • PRO-lab Analysis

    3,075 EGP

    Professional metal composition analysis, including XRF, with a lab report or certificate depending on the available service.

  • Detailed Imaging

    275 EGP

    High-quality images of the front and back, plus an image showing both sides together where possible.

  • Multi Insert Slab

    Contact Agent

    A custom slab designed to display more than one item inside the same slab in an organized and secure format. Pricing depends on the design and item count — please contact support to confirm availability, sizes, and inserts.

All add-on services must accompany a core service and are not offered separately.

Shipping fees depend on item count and declared value. Please review the instructions before sending any items, and use suitable packaging and tracked shipping whenever possible.

Payment & guarantees

Pay, cover, and cancel with confidence

Clear policies on accepted payment methods, what's covered while items are with us, and how cancellations or grade reviews are handled.

Accepted payment methods

Bank transfer, instant payment networks, debit or credit card via Paymob, or cash at any authorized receiving center. Invoices are issued once your items are registered in our system.

Insurance & in-facility care

Items are covered against loss while inside our facility, up to the declared value selected at submission. Optional courier insurance is available at the shipping step, and any pre-existing wear is documented at intake.

Cancellation & refunds

A full refund of grading fees is available if a submission is cancelled before items are registered in our system. Once work has begun, partial fees may apply. Post-certification concerns are handled through the Grade Guarantee process.

Are these fees final?

The listed fees are per item and exclude 14% VAT, which is added at invoice. Shipping fees and add-on services may apply separately.

Do I need a membership to submit?

Yes. An active IGA membership is required to create a submission and use grading and documentation services.

How does the minimum service fee apply?

For submissions of up to 5 items, a minimum service fee of EGP 275 applies if the total grading fees are below this amount.

What is the difference between service options and add-on services?

Service options such as Re-Grade, Cross-Over, and Re-Slab modify the core grading service. Add-on services such as Special Labels, Detailed Imaging, and Grande Slab are optional additions applied on top of the core service.

When does turnaround begin and can fees change?

Turnaround begins after the items are received and officially registered in the IGA system, not from the date the submission is created online or the package is shipped. Fees are reviewed periodically, and important changes are announced with prior notice on the website or through approved communication channels.
